1/4 pound lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce dash of hot-pepper sauce
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup chilli sauce
1 can (16 ounces) pork-and-beans
4 hamburger buns, split
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 red onion, chopped



1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat, stirring, for 6 to 8 minutes or until no longer pink. Discard the fat. Add the onion and cook, stirring, for about 5 minutes longer or until the onion softens.
2. Add the flour, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, water, chilli sauce and pork-and-beans and simmer, covered, for about 10 minutes util heated through.
3. Toast the hamburger buns. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture over the buns and serve garnished with tomatoes and red onions.
