Smoked Fish Spread

3/4 pound smoked fish, flaked
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, at room temperature
3 tablespoons heavy cream or evaporated milk
1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
1 small clove garlic, minced dash liquid smoke (optional) rye or pumpernickle cocktail bread



In a bowl, combine the fish, cream cheese, lemon juice, garlic and liquid smoke and mix well. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours. Spread on the bread.

Makes: 12 to 15 servings
