Super Bowl, Gotta Have It Snack

1 pound Jimmy Dean Sausage, crumbled1 pound lean ground beef1/2 cup finely chopped shallot2 pounds Velveeta cheese, cubed 1 loaf cocktail rye bread sliced ripe olives





1. Position the rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees F.
2. In a large skillet, combine the sausage, beef and shallot and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes until no longer pink. Add the cheese and cook until the cheese melts
3. Spread on the bread, top with olives and bake for 5 to 8 minutes, or until bubbling. Serve at once.


COOKING NOTE: Pumpernickel can be used in place of rye bread.
